💼 My job and where I'm based
I am a User Researcher based in London. 🇬🇧
😊 What I enjoy about the role
This is my dream job to be honest, I’ve felt like all roads have led to this point. It combines my favourite things like working with talented people, working on super cool projects to do with investing and helping users get the best experience we can offer them.
🗓 What I’m currently working on
At the moment I am helping our team produce news and educational content for our users. I’m also improving the way we present users with stocks they haven’t heard of.
💪 Strengths needed for being a User Researcher
I am a people person, I enjoy talking to others and that helps them want to talk to me as well which is key for my role. I am also result oriented so that helps me integrate feedback fast. Staying organised helps a lot too because we work on so many things at the same time.
🕺 What I like to do after work and at the weekends
Anything that involves food LOL.
I love cooking and going out to eat as well. I like walking and listening to audiobooks - my big recommendation is “My year of rest and relaxation” by Ottessa Moshfegh. I think that’s my jam at the moment, but when the weather gets worse I will be at home watching the series with my cat. I’m not a party person at all, I retired from that sport after a three-day hangover when I was 20.
🐶 Meet Nemesis!
I’ve already spoilt it, but I have a cat named Nemesis who is always trying to play with my boyfriend’s emotions to get more snacks. I need to write an essay dedicated to each of my friends as they play a huge role in my life, and I am very happy that I have made some new important friendships at Shares. I spend endless hours on the phone with my dad talking about all our latest gossip and financial wellness.
